CPG Group refinery is proud to announce that it is the only NATA accredited precious metals refinery in Victoria, and one of only two in Australia.

The CPG Group laboratory utilises the latest instrumentation to accurately determine the gold, silver, platinum and palladium content of any alloy or scrap jewellery.

The laboratory is managed by expert chemists with extensive experience in the precious metal industry. To provide maximum value for its customers, CPG Group's chemists analyse every sample with X-Ray fluorescence followed by classical lead fire assay analysis.

The quality control analysis is carried out using the Inductively Coupled Plasma Optical Emission Spectrometry (ICP-OES) instrument which has the capability to analyse 36 elements sequentially. This is a prerequisite for accreditation with the National Association of Testing Authorities in Australia (NATA) for technical competence, of which CPG Group was awarded in April of 2018.
